Carl, Julius and Kersten are working on their whiskey in a family business that has been producing quality distillates in the Münsterland region, in close proximity to the Venner Moor, for more than 100 years.
The brand
Wolpertinger is the German name of a legendary creature that is hidden in the forests of many peoples. A Wolpertinger is not just a single animal, but a mixture of the most diverse inhabitants of the forest. Americans know it as the Jackalope. You may see it as a winged hare or a duck footed rat, but every Wolpertinger is unique. Few believe their eyes when they meet a Wolpertinger.
Just like sighting a Wolpertinger, every Vennmoor whiskey is a unique experience. Vennmoor means to see the horned hare with duck wings and to understand that through the connection of different influences something great can arise. Whiskey is this creative mixture of constant innovation and a long tradition that only becomes legendary when all the influences work together.
